About Copper State Septic

Copper State Septic connects Phoenix-area homeowners with a local septic contractor and publishes plain-English guides to owning a septic system in Arizona.

Who runs this site

Copper State Septic is run by August Heckmann, who builds local service sites that connect homeowners with independent contractors. It is a referral service. The septic work itself is done by an independent local contractor; see how this works.

How we check our information

• Rules come from the source: the Arizona Administrative Code, ADEQ, and Maricopa and Pinal county pages.
• Prices come from published cost data, named on each page, and are shown as ranges. Your contractor's quote is the real number for your job.
• Maintenance advice follows the EPA's published guidance.
• Each page shows when it was last reviewed. Pages are rechecked when a rule or price source changes.
